The use of punctuation is to make the sentence meaning clearer.

Stops at The End of The Sentence

• Exclamation Points

Exclamation points (!) is used in the end of the sentence to end and expression of strong feeling. For example:
Ah!
I'm in love!
I never want to see you again!

• Question Marks

Question mark (?) is used at the end of  a direct question. Example:
When will I ever see you again?
Why don't you leave me alone?
Can this be love?

• Periods

Use a period (.) to end any sentence other than a direct question or an expression of strong feeling. Example:
I saw him when he stepped onto the subway at Flatbush Avenue and avenue K.
He asked me how he could get to the Staten Island ferry.
I'll show you the way.
Come with me.
